Fan art of the 80's german metal band Warlock and their singer, Doro Pesch. I tried to mimic the 80's album cover and poster of heavy metal
You kow what I mean : too satured colors, chrome, thunder, fire, leather, spike, etc ... ^^
I use to listen more ... brutal bands than Warlock and Doro but she was the "pin up" I tacked up on the walls of my room when I was a teenager. She was the ultimate metal girl wit her incredible long hair and her leather clothes. I saw one of her show few weeks ago and she's still beautiful

A picture of my lovely beloved Chloé. I've already painted her with Lux Interior but she wanted a picture with her other idol, Lemmy, the frontman of Motörhead.
It's my first (and probably the last) photorealistic attempt (with a computer). It was a very long work (about 35-40 hours) but a very instructive one.

Well, I've got a lot of demands for a hair and skin making-of ... that's my reply
I tried (once again) to do a video tutorial but my computer is too slow, so I've done screenshots :/
Its not a very original or creative picture but at least you've got all the steps.
It's 100% airbrushed picture (except for the hair).

I used a very kitsch picture of Irina Sheik (I don't know who she is ^^') .
I didn't use ref for the vinyl part.

I don't have time to write all the explanations

Note that it's nearly a COPY of a picture, it's far more easy than caricature, even if the method is the same.

DON'T USE colors picking (it's very dangerous, the jpeg compression generated a lot of "aberrant" pixels). You can desaturated your picture and your ref to compare the contrast and the luminosity.

I was very impressed by the last work of Eric Tranchefeux on Rembrandt.
As I was trying a new palete of skin tones inspired by William Bouguereau, I decided to make a feminine version of his autoportrait (yes, I know, I'm dispairing ^^).
So I had transformed this poor William in a mature bimbo (I'm a pin up drawer after all ).

Hommage to Lux Interior, the singer of the Cramps, died in febuary (the human fly, on the left, it's him ^^).
"Human Fly" is an old song of this group. This picture refered to the Cramps universe (B movies/pin ups/Psychobilly and rock n'roll/etc ..).
I used my beloved one as model for the pinup and webcam and photo ref for the hands.
The tatoo is originaly a sketch of Junko Mizuno.
